My Favorite Movies

In the summer vacation I saw 4 movies which are BIG FISH, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, Oceans 13 and Sleepy Hollow. I only watched Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea in a cinema. The others I have DVD so I watched in my house. I love movies so I have many favorite movies but I will introduce some of my favorites. These are BIG FISH, Oceans Series (11, 12 and 13), Sleepy Hollow and Shakespeare in love. I recommend watching these movies and I’m going to tell you some details of BIG FISH and Sleepy Hollow.

Here, I will introduce the movie “BIG FISH”. This is a movie of 2003 and the director is a famous Tim Burton. I love this movie because I love Tim Burton. His movies are almost all using dark colors. However, in this movie he is using much of colors. A name of the main character is Will Bloom (Billy Crudup). He had a quarrel in his wedding party with his father named Edward Bloom (Albert Finney) and he hasn’t talked with his father long time after the marriage. However, Will’s mother; Sandra Bloom (Jessica Lange) called Will that Edward’s nearing his end. Sandra was trying to make up her sun and her husband. Will came back to his home town with his wife; Josephine Bloom (Marion Cotillard). He hated his father because he told fantasy and made up story to other people. People pleased to hear his stories but Will was thinking it is ridiculous and those are just lies. He went to meet his father and he started to know the truth of his made up stories. Then he starts to notice those are not just a lie stories and so on… Also when Will finding the truth, appear many episode stories of Edward and Ewan McGregor act the young Edward. The young Edward's wife was acted by Alison Lohman.I strongly to watch this movie! It’s really good!














The next movie is “Sleepy Hollow”. This movie is Tim Burton’s too and it was made in 1999. This IS using a dark color. I hate horror movie but this is very visionary and beautiful scene so I like it. The main character is Ichabod Crane who plays Johnny Depp. Ichabod is a police officer. He was sent to investigate a string of grisly murders from New York City. In the movie he always gets faint when he saw a murder. In the town, he met a beautiful girl named Katrina Van Tassel (Christina Ricci) and with her, he solving the mystery and the mysterious suspect. You can see the ending by yourself!

My Summer Vacation!

This year’s my summer vacation was super fun! Those days were special for me because I met my old friend from Mexico. The friend calls Nany, and she is going to study Japanese in this university. She came Japan in July and she home stayed in Gifu. She was learning many things for example how to go Nagoya from Gifu and how to buy ticket of train and so on! I met her in August and also she was a friend of my family too so we met with my family and my father took us to Iga Ueno the Ninja Town! We exited so much because there were many kinds of Ninja! We saw little boys and girls changing clothes of Ninja and also there was woman Ninja too. The kids Ninja were just normal people that came to see Ninja town but the adults Ninja were working there and showed us their Japanese sword which called Katana and Shuriken which is kind of small knife. Those things are all real things and could cut in real so we were much exited to see their shows.

In September, Nany changed her house to a dormitory of our university so my parents and I helped to carry her bags from Gifu and we went to shopping for her new life. First we went tableware corner and some cups and plates for her. It was very fun because we were talking like we are real adult! She was confusing how to throw garbage because Nagoya should divide the garbage by their kinds but even I knew the rule of Nagoya so I couldn’t explain how to so I felt sorry for that. Anyway we back to her new room and left her alone and we back to our home. Since then I didn’t have contact with her but I am looking forward to see her in the university!

Another interesting thing in my summer vacation was about my part time job. I’m working in Titan Shop since November of last year and the shop is in JUSCO which is a kind of big supermarket. The shop has no relating with JUSCO but many people didn’t know about that so they came to ask “where can I buy pencil?” or “Where is the rest room?” something like these questions to me!! But I’m not worker of JUSCO so how can I know and answer those questions?! But if I couldn’t to answer the people who asking me these questions are start confusing, because almost all of people who ask those questions are kids or senior people. Because of those happening I started memorize the map of JUSCO and to introduce “where could we buy which things”. I can say that I worked very hard so I want my payment twice!!
